Kristin’s thoroughness, keen attention to detail, and practical sensibility set her apart and enable her to efficiently move a case toward resolution and achieve the best possible result for her clients.
She has litigated a wide range of claims and disputes, including contractual disputes of all kinds, fraud/misrepresentation, family trust disputes, tortious interference with contractual/economic relations, consumer credit disputes, mortgage repurchase litigation, mortgage-backed securities trust litigation, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitration, defamation, employment disputes, California’s Environmental Quality Act, and California’s Unfair Competition Law.
She also has experience with judgment enforcement and appeals.
Kristin began her legal career in New York as a Court Attorney and Senior Court Attorney for the New York Court of Appeals (2003-2005). She subsequently clerked for the Honorable Kiyo A. Matsumoto U.S. Magistrate Judge (now U.S. District Judge) in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, New York (2005-2006). From 2006-2011, she was an attorney in the Enforcement and Litigation Legal Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (“NY Fed”), where, among other things, she investigated and prosecuted administrative actions against individual bankers alleged to have jeopardized the soundness and safety of their respective banking institutions through fraud and dishonest means. While at the NY Fed, she also participated in responding to the numerous government investigations and inquiries into the extraordinary actions taken by the NY Fed during the 2008/2009 financial crisis.
Kristin relocated to California in 2011 and was admitted to the California Bar in 2012. Since then, she has worked for several San Francisco and North Bay law firms.
Kristin has taught legal research and writing as an Adjunct Professor for Hastings College of Law, San Francisco, California, and taught Introduction to U.S. Law and Methodologies at the New York University School for Continuing and Professional Studies, in New York, New York.
