Justin  joined CMPR’s Employment and Business Litigation Groups in December 2020.  He has a diverse legal background, with his most recent focus being helping professionals and businesses resolve employment and business disputes. Over the past 18 years, Justin has successfully represented small to large businesses, healthcare practitioners, such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, and veterinarians, and professionals, such as accountants, architects, brokers, contractors, and engineers.

Justin’s practice primarily includes general counsel and employment law representation and legal services to employers.  Those services include preventative legal representation through interpretation, guidance, and application of the law to each client’s unique situation.  But when a dispute morphs into a lawsuit, Justin aggressively represents his clients’ interests in litigation, arbitration, administrative hearings, and petitions for writs of mandate.  He has appeared on behalf of clients in U.S. and California courts as well as before a variety of federal, state, and local government agencies, including the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, U. S. Patent and Trademark Office, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, California State Personnel Board, Office of Administrative Hearings, Labor Commissioner, Employment Development Department, and various Municipal Civil Service Commissions.

Justin’s experience includes serving as the managing attorney of two law firms, and having served as an administrative hearing officer, private arbitrator, and mediator.  Having fielded disputes as a client and resolved them as an adjudicator provides the added value of perspective.  This experience is invaluable when confronting issues and litigating cases on behalf of his clients.  Moreover, since joining CMPR, Justin’s practice has grown more diverse, as he has represented clients on affordable housing, land use, and trademark matters through litigation and appeals.
