In Memoriam: Kristin Mattiske-Nicholls

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kristin Mattiske-Nicholls, an outstanding litigator and esteemed colleague in our Santa Rosa office. Kristin joined CMPR in 2022, and her passion for zealous advocacy, creative problem-solving, and community involvement was appreciated by all. Kristin played a key role in several high-profile legal victories, including a precedent-setting win in the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit last year and a defense verdict in an employment claim in Marin County Superior Court two years ago. She served as Vice President of Community Action Partnership for Sonoma Community Action Network and was on several other nonprofit boards. Outside of work and community, Kristin was a dedicated wife and mother. A GoFundMe campaign was started to help support them during this difficult time. A memorial ceremony to honor Kristin’s life is scheduled to be held on June 12th at 1pm at Pleasant Hill Memorial Park in Sebastopol.
